Regina Pliessnig is a trained Kindergarten teacher and studied Art History, Ethnology and Spanish at Vienna University before she decided to start an education in Textile Design. In the third year of her undergraduate studies she came from Austria to the University of Derby where she graduated in January 2006.
Amazed with the newly acquired skills and the creative potential knitted textiles have she continued studying in Derby and now finished the MA ADAPT course.
Coming from a different cultural background and having experienced all kinds of media throughout her studies she is now constantly working on versatile projects including fashion, technical textiles, soft toys, graphic design, photography and painting.
